Gueorugi Pinkhassov
Gueorugi Pinkhassov was born in Moscow in 1952. His interest in photography began while he was still in school. After studying cinematography at the VGIK (The Moscow Institute of Cinematography), he went on to work at the Mosfilm studio as a cameraman and then as on-set photographer. He joined the Moscow Union of Graphic Artists in 1978, which allowed him more freedom to travel and exhibit internationally. He is known for his vivid art-reportage, which elevates the everyday to the extraordinary.

This picture above I found interesting in many ways. It looks like some sort of soldiers or officers in the picture, but I like how they are completely dark and you can not see any of their faces or anything. Also this dark tunnel that they are in with light coming in at the end and the design are the ceilings looked creative to me.

I also found this photo to be interesting. I love how you can clearly see the pouring rain coming down on their heads. Also again in this photo, you can't really see the faces of the people in the picture and just get a dark image of them. Also the windows in the back make the picture more interesting to me adding some light to the photo.
